DAY 2 UBUD, BALI / EMBARK Journey into the heart of Bali's countryside to the town of Ubud, renowned for its artistic flair and tranquil surroundings. Enjoy a leisurely lunch in Ubud before heading to Benoa to board your expedition ship, the National Geographic Orion.

DAY 3 SATONDA/SUMBAWA Travel to the enchanting island of Satonda, a haven for nature lovers and adventurers alike. DAY 4 KOMODO Explore the rugged landscapes of Komodo National Park, home to the legendary Komodo dragons. Accompanied by park rangers, hike through the park to observe these fascinating creatures in their natural habitat. Afterward, unwind on the picturesque Pink Beach, named for its pink-hued sands created by coral fragments.

DAYS 5-6 FLORES / AT SEA Immerse yourself in the cultural richness of Flores, known for its breathtaking landscapes and vibrant weaving traditions. DAYS 11-13 AT SEA / ASMAT, PAPUA Cruise along the southern coast of Papua towards the Asmat region, home to the Asmat people known for their intricate wood carvings. Explore the stilt villages along the shoreline, connected by raised wooden boardwalks. Witness a traditional welcome ceremony and gain insights into the ancient customs and traditions of the Asmat people.

DAYS 14-16 AT SEA / GULF OF PAPUA Sail through the Arafura Sea to Torres Strait, once a land bridge connecting Australia and New Guinea. Explore deserted beaches and vibrant reefs, snorkeling in the crystal-clear waters and discovering the unique ecosystems that thrive in this remote paradise.

DAYS 17-18 SAMARAI, PAPUA NEW GUINEA / AT SEA Discover the history of Samarai, a once bustling port and administrative capital that was evacuated during World War II. DAY 19 HONIARA, SOLOMON ISLANDS / DISEMBARK Your expedition concludes in Honiara, the capital of the Solomon Islands. Disembark and visit World War II sites, including Red Beach and the airbase at Henderson Field, where you'll learn about the fierce battles that took place in this strategic location.
